For training organizations, e-learning tools have made it affordable to offer extra training and perks to employees that were formerly cost prohibitive. It’s no surprise that today’s employees are more capable and well-trained than ever before.

Designing game-based training programs can be difficult. It’s easy to fixate on your training objectives and forget to make your training fun. You can also spend too much time making the program enjoyable and end up with a game that doesn’t really teach anything.

Why isn’t management showing up better?

Studies show that most first-time managers are hired or promoted out of necessity – generally because they were strong individual contributors and not necessarily for any demonstrated management prowess. Because of this, many managers know only to be followers and are still dependent on someone else’s setting a direction. They are drones, in other words, with a pilot sitting in an office somewhere else in the organization.
