Microsoft TechEd Spiced Up for 2013, New Orleans Style!

New_Orleans

I don’t know about you, but I am really pumped for this year’s Microsoft TechEd.  All the new technology coming out of Redmond, the improving economy and of course, the interesting location of New Orleans, means that I can’t wait to get down to Louisiana June 3rd-6th!

The TechEd sessions schedule is out on the Channel 9 blog, and it’s very cool to see the user ratings to get an idea of what’s hot and what’s not so hot. At this stage of the game, there seems to be a bit of excitement around Server 2012 technologies (Active Directory, Direct Access, PowerShell), SQL Server 2012, and System Center 2012 (which is not that surprising). The recent announcements for the keynote speaker and TechEd party only heightens the excitement. Brad Anderson, Corporate Vice President of Windows Server & System Center will be kicking things off on Monday, which makes  sense given the impact and importance of the Windows Server platform and its management tools in the whole Microsoft ecosystem. The closing party at the SuperDome is every football fans dream, giving you the opportunity to test your football skills in one of the NFL’s largest arenas.

As the premier Microsoft customer event of the year, it’s always a bit of a rush to make sure everyone has a great experience. From the marketing side of the world, preparation begins months in advance ranging from booth selection, creative treatment, giveaways, and more! We have some special treats for anyone who stops by the Global Knowledge booth (2203). We’ll be raffling off an X-Box 360 Kinect every day of Microsoft TechEd and have a very cool t-shirts that you can proudly wear. Our Microsoft instructors and experts will be on-site if you have any questions about our Microsoft training. Beyond the educational sessions at TechEd, I’m sure there will be some amazing after-parties and great eating in New Orleans.

All in all, Microsoft TechEd 2013 promises to be a fantastic experience from both an educational, networking, and personal standpoint. With so many bright, smart, and motivated professionals under one roof, it’s impossible not to learn a lot of interesting things. I’ll see you all down in New Orleans next month!
